Grape Vision Ltd is a company set up by Robin Dicey to develop and manage vineyards for people who want to own a vineyard but lack viticultural skills or time. He has recently been joined by his son James, to act as the companies operational manager. Below are brief curriculum vitae of Robin and James:

Robin Dicey

After growing up on an orchard that included a vineyard in South Africa, Robin trained in winemaking and viticulture at Stellenbosch University. After running the family farm he moved to NZ in 1977 to become the first Viticulturalist for Corbans in Tolaga Bay (north of Gisborne). There he established extensive vineyards prior to moving to Katikati in the Bay of Plenty in 1979.

In Katikati he developed and managed kiwifruit orchards for absentee owners. In 1992 he moved to Cromwell in Central Otago to follow his passion for grapes. He established his own vineyard and was instrumental in starting Mt Difficulty, a producer of ultra premium wines. He then started developing and managing vineyards for absentee owners and those not versed in the art of growing grapes.

James Dicey

After 10 years as a chartered accountant specialising in computer audit, James has retrained at Lincoln University, recently completing the Graduate Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology. James has joined Robin as the Operations Manager, taking care of logistics, staff management whilst Robin focuses on the viticulture.
